This manual will walk you through how to try Linux Ubuntu from a USB stick. This means that you will boot-up your machine from the USB stick and Linux Ubuntu will run from the stick and therfore makes no changes to the hard drive that is in your machine. It is a safe way to quickly get familiar with Ubuntu and see what it can do. Every time you boot from the USB stick you get a clean version of Ubuntu which means any changes are not saved to the USB stick and will not be there when you boot your machine again from the USB stick. Please see my other videos on how to test Linux Ubuntu using virtualisation technology if you want to save changes to your test Ubuntu operating system. It is also assumed that you know how to enter the BIOS of your machine and set the USB to boot as a first option when your machine is powered on.
